Obituary of Roderick Settee
Roderick ‘Likijones’ Settee was born in Sept. 1960 in Cumberland House, Sask. to parents, Marie Louise & Pierre Settee. He grew up in Pine Bluff Indian Reserve and later moved to Cumberland House. He spent most of his life in Cumberland House. Likijones went to school at Charlebois til grade 9. He loved playing cards and bingo; in his early years, he loved to play fastball with his brothers. He most enjoyed family gatherings. He spent a lot of time with his siblings, Emile and Caroline. Likijones loved arts & crafts; he was very good at painting and drawing which he did until he got sick and moved to Pineview Lodge, until his untimely passing.
Roderick was blessed with his only daughter, Crystal Settee and his two granddaughters, Jasmine & Mercedes.
Likijones leaves his cherished memories to his daughter, Crystal (partner, David Davidson); his granddaughters, Jasmine & Mercedes; his sisters: Caroline (James) Stewart, Myrtle Stewart, Sandra (Brad) Ratzlaff, Delores (Earl) Crane, and Patricia (Leon) Flett; his brothers: Emile Settee, Thomas (Esther) Settee, Russel Settee and Barney Settee; his many nieces and nephews; and extended family and his many friends.
Likijones was predeceased by his parents, Pierre & Marie Settee; his brothers: Jerome, Morris, Adam and Frank James; his sisters: Kathleen Settee, Flora Cook, and Merle Settee; his paternal grandparents, Thomas and Adelaide Settee; his maternal grandparents, Moise & Mary Laliberte; his uncles: Douglas, Alex, John Baptiste (Alice) Settee, William (Margaret) Settee, Roderick (Mariam) Settee, Paul Settee, Thomas (Clara) Laliberte, John Baptiste (Victoria) Laliberte, Frank (Agnes) Laliberte, Willie Laliberte, Gilbert Laliberte, George Laliberte; his niece, Olivia Laliberte; his nephew, Anthony Pelly; and his cousins: J.B.”Putt-Putt” Greenleaf, Elmer Settee, Adele Settee, Rose Morin and Elizabeth Buck.
