Obituary of Karl Grassing
Karl Grassing was born in Nipawin, Saskatchewan to parents Glenn and Barb Grassing. He joined older sisters Angela (8) and Maria (5).
Karl grew up in Nipawin and received his primary and secondary education at Wagner Elementary School and L.P. Miller Comprehensive School. Karl’s foray into the world of employment began with several unique and interesting endeavors. He was a referee for Minor Hockey, and Apiarist, and Rocky the Hockey Hawk of the Nipawin Hawks. He also ran away and joined the carnival!
In 2000 Karl continued his formal education by completing Retail Meat Cutting at SIAST in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. Followed by qualifying as a Journeyman Cook in 2005.
Karl worked in several Nipawin establishments including: Gieni’s, Kingfisher Inn, Evergreen Centre, and the River Inn.
Karl was predeceased by his mother: Barbara and his father: Glenn.
Left to mourn his memory are his sisters: Angela (Kevin) Karvelson and Maria (Dodd) Ulrich; nieces and nephews: Paige, Adrienne, Karvel, Jocelyn, Alex, Josh and Nick; along with numerous relatives and friends.
