Obituary of Larry Crate
Larry Robert Crate was born in Nipawin, Sask. in August 1987 to Duncan Scott McKay & Laureen Crate. kinakataskēw January 30th, 2024 softly and peacefully surrounded by his family and friends.
He grew up in Cumberland House, SK until he was six years old. Then he moved to Saskatoon, SK until he was ten years old, where he attended St. Anne School. He then moved back to Cumberland House to complete his high school education there.
He was employed in various types of jobs, in different locations. He started working in Saskatoon when he was eight years old and has been working ever since. His last place of employment was Nechapanuk Child & Family Services as Associate Executive Director. He began working there shortly after completing his Bachelor’s Degree in Education from the University of Saskatchewan.
He did not have any children of his own, but he loved all his nieces and nephews as his own.
