Obituary of Melvin Gray
Melvin Perry Gray was born in December 1945 in Flin Flon Manitoba to Harry & Signe Gray. Melvin has two sisters, Cheryl Hamrin & Audrey Gray. They lived in Flin Flon until Melvin was eight years old. The family then move to White Fox, SK.
Melvin worked at Labell’s & Hayes Hardware for a period of time. Melvin went away to The Pas, Manitoba where he took a carpenter course & became a very good carpenter. He worked for the Nipawin School Division for 27 years. Melvin married Barbara in 1974 in White Fox, SK. They had three sons, Bill, Trevor & Perry. Melvin, Barb & the boys loved to go to lakes in the summer.
Melvin built four homes in White Fox where the family lived. After Melvin & Barb retired, they started traveling-- to Newfoundland three times and to many areas in BC, Alberta, & parts of the United States.
Melvin was predeceased by his son, Perry; his parents, Signe & Harry; and his in-laws, Aggie & Joe.
He leaves to mourn his death, his wife of nearly 50 years, Barb; his sons, Bill (Jenn), and Trevor (Joni); his sisters, Cheryl & Audrey; his niece, Christy & Tom & family; his nephew, Calvin & kids; his eleven grandchildren; and his thirteen great-grandchildren.
Melvin will be loved and
missed by all who knew and loved him!
