My family lived in Zenon Park when I was very young. Phyllis and Frank were larger then life in my eyes at the time. They were so welcoming. Phyllis was a great friend to my mom Francine. The last time I spoke to her was when my mother passed away in 2009. The last time a saw her was sometimes in 1984 I believe. She was an incredible lady. My condolences to her family and friends. All who knew her loved her.

Frank and Phyllis were our neighbors on the farm. Back in the 60s, when my dad would work out in the winter, Frank and Phyllis would pick us up for church on Sunday mornings, and then take us back to their house for Sunday dinner and a day of visiting and companionship. My Mom appreciated that so much. Phyllis always made the very best Sunday dinner! They would play cards and my Mom appreciated that so much! Phyllis and I shared a name, and that was always a chuckle between us. She was a great lady!

Dear Frank and family,
We are so sorry for your great loss. Phyllis was such an amazing person who gave so much of herself to others. We will always be grateful for all the times throughout the years that she was there for our family. I will never forget after dad passed, I called and asked if she could hire on our behalf someone to serve lunch and possibly make homemade beans to serve hot, as it was so cold ..minus thirty..she than said….Caline de Binne….., I’ll do the beans , what kind do you want…there was no arguing with her. She went over and beyond and yes an incredible lunch was served after the funeral.
May she rest in peace , she is gone but will not be forgotten.
Love, Estelle Courteau-Switzer and George Switzer and Family, Sherwood Park, Alberta
