Obituary of Marie 'Florence' La Rose
Florence was born in June, 1950 at Mission City, B.C. The family moved to Moose Jaw when she was 4 yrs. old. She attended elementary school at St. Michael’s in Moose Jaw, and went to high school at Vanier Collegiate, also in Moose Jaw, Sk.
Her son, Eliah, was born in 1971 and her second child, Isaac was born in 1973.
Florence, Tom (her then husband), and the two boys lived in Alberta from 1971 to 1980. Florence then moved with the boys to Toronto for a few years, then to Moose Jaw, then onto Winnipeg where she worked for Bristol Aerospace from 1983 to ’85.
She moved again to Ontario where she worked at various jobs until illness resulted in disability issues. Then she became active on-line advocating for people’s rights as well as on-line selling of jewelry which she made at home. Another interest, in which she was quite knowledgeable, was naturopathy. This knowledge she shared freely with on-line friends.
In August 2022 she moved to Nipawin, SK and resided here until she passed away July of 2023.
Florence is predeceased by her parents Pierre and Emilia Pinel, her siblings: Lucille Pinel, Claire Hosler, and Roger Pinel.
She is survived by her sons, Eliah Hubler and Isaac Hubler (Verna) and 3 grandchildren; also, by siblings: Denise Cameron, Leo Pinel (Beryl), Louis Pinel (Carol), Yvette Pinel, Helen Watson, Emile Pinel (Dale), and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
