Obituary of Clarence Hoffart

Clarence ‘Clay’ Hoffart was born in North Battleford, Sask on January 2, 1948.

          Clay went to school in Carrot River and later in Nipawin. He left home and went to Calgary to work with his brother William. Clay returned to Nipawin in 1981. He worked for Shanco Lumber until 2004 when Shanco burned down. He built wooden grain bins and was an excellent carpenter.

          In 1992, he got together with Bonnie McClean, the love of his life.

          Clay loved to bowl and over the years, along with league bowling, he participated in many tournaments. He also loved record albums. He started collecting them in 1966. When he played a record, within seconds he could tell you the title and who was singing. He loved his music.

          Clay was predeceased by his sisters, Bernice Warnock and Irene Fidler; his brothers, Albert Hoffart and William Hoffart; and his niece Sheila Neufeld.

          Clay is survived by his loving partner of 33 years, Bonnie McClean; his nieces Shirley, Ainsley, Carol Patton, Sandra Hrapchuk and Angela Fidler; nephew Leonard Bohn; and brother-in-law, Floyd Fidler.

Interment to be held at a later date.
