Doug was a special friend to Bonnie and I. I was stationed at Nipawin as a conservation officer working with Doug from 1975 until 1977. It was my first permanent posting and Doug and Marie warmly welcomed both of us into the community. We spent many evenings with Doug and Marie. They were special people and we could all take a lesson on how to be a true gentleman from Doug. We stayed in contact over the years and we always looked forward to his Christmas card even though he always apologized for sending it late because he had been so busy. We were lucky enough to go there to pick him up and take him for coffee on occasion although in retrospect we wish we had done it more often. The world has lost a fine man.

My most sincere condolences to the family of Doug. We never worked together but I certainly knew of his reputation as a great Saskatchewan Conservation Officer. He was a well respected man.

To Doug Pegg’s family, my sincere condolences to all family members. Doug & myself go back along time working together when Doug was stationed in Moose Jaw & myself in Assiniboia. We chased skunks, released pheasants & dealt with hunters.
Best to the family in the future.
