my deepest condolences to the whole pickering family. I just found out today about Auntie Nettie's passing. Our deepest condolences to each and everyone of you. I will remember my trip always to the farm when i was little with mom and dad and having Auntie Nettie and Uncle Norman let me have Wilbur the runt of the litter of pigs . I cried when we left as i knew he would one day become bacon as Uncle Norman told me. I hold this close to my heart. Now all 4 are together in heaven spending some quality time together. Love to you all

Aunty Nettie was one of my favorite people in the world. I have so many wonderful, cherished memories of spending time with her, Uncle Norman and the boys on the farm in our childhood. I always loved going there. Aunty Nettie was such a lovely, positive, kind person. I loved her dearly and will miss her. I send my heartfelt condolences to the family.

I just lost my Auntie Nettie & am filled with the loss of her! As children living at home, our families visited over the years & always had many belly laughs. We were very close families, ate alot & laughed alot, our times together were always special. After many years of not seeing Auntie, we eventually reconnected when my Mom, her sister Mary, was living in Kelowna & Auntie & Gordon visited her. Those were the last precious visits we shared together. I will always miss her smile and special chuckle. May you rest in peace, Auntie, and to my cousins, I am so sorry for your loss!

Auntie Nettie will be sorely missed. She has a special place in my heart. There are so many good memories: looking for frogs in the grass; seeing and holding the baby animals; the boys doing the farming; her lovely garden and, her dogs that would scare us when we pulled up to the house (haha). I will always remember my days on the farm and have the fondest memories. My deepest condolences to the family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers at this sad time. Auntie Nettie, may you rest in peace now.

Aunty Nettie was a true inspiration to me. I spent many days and weeks on the farm with her and Uncle Norman. I learned so many life lessons from her - it has shaped who I've become today. I loved my time there learning about the farm, how to take care of animals and the whole culture of the importance of family. She always called me her "little Lynnie" and that name has stuck with me all these years and is an honor of how wonderful she was and the positive impact she has had on my life. I will miss her with love,
Lynn Whitten (Mailander)

I loved going to Aunty Nettie’s farm as a kid! I loved seeing the baby pigs and cows. It was there that I became vegetarian! That farm had a huge impact on the way I look at life. Lots of love to all of the family who is thinking of Aunty now.

On behalf of Ruby, Elsie and Jeanette we would like to offer our condolences to Shirley, Brian, Doug & Ruth, Marvyn & Bev and their families. We are saddened by Aunty's passing as she was an important part of our lives, and we will forever miss her, especially when we travel to our favorite place, the area around Bjorkdale. Many, many happy memories and good stories of our visits to the farm, both for us and for our families, especially the food she was noted for — bread, cinnamon buns, perogies, just to name a few of our families favourites - EPIC!! And birthday cake in September visits for her and Ruby together!
We are thankful she is in a peaceful place with all of her family who has gone before her. Rest In Peace Aunty❤️❤️
