Obituary of Randy Buck

“Buck” was born in 1973 to his parents Charles and Madeline Buck in The Pas, Manitoba. Randy married the love of his life, Rhoda, on August 27, 1994. Together they were blessed with four children: Randy “Ranjose”(Chantal) Buck, Rayden “Pete” (Maria) Buck, Ryder “Bug” Buck and Rafe “Baby” Buck and three grandchildren: his “Baby” Grayson, Hope “Pretty Girl” and Nolan “Teedeedeet”. Randy was also blessed with three other children and two grandchildren: Ashley (Cameron and Tamara), Hayden and Jared. Randy lived most of his life in Cumberland House, Sask. He chose to follow in his father’s footsteps by becoming a carpenter. Randy went to SIAST to study carpentry from 1992 to 1994. He helped his dad with renovations and new construction until his father’s passing on Oct. 30, 1997. He kept his father’s legacy alive by continuing his passion for carpentry until his own passing. We can’t say that Randy was just an avid fisherman, it was a pastime where he felt the utmost peace, and extreme closeness to God. Fishing wasn’t just a sport to him. Through fishing he developed a greater love for the land and water which enabled him to build stronger relationships with the people he spent time fishing with. Randy enjoyed entering in the local fish derbies with his partner Rhoda by his side and occasionally his sons Randy or Rayden. Randy often told stories about his fishing adventures with his fishing buddies; Elmer, Achoos Fleury and Eugene. Randy leaves his treasured memories to the love of his life, his wife, Rhoda; his children: Randy, Rayden, Ryder, Rafe, Ashley, Hayden and Jared; his grandchildren: Grayson, Hope, Nolan, Cameron and Tamara; his Momma, Madeline; his sister, Margie; his brothers, Gabe, Conway and Bert; his daughters-in-law: Chanta & Maria; his numerous nephews and nieces and special nieces Kona & Seghan; his aunties: Yvonne (Jonathan) Weenusk, Valendie (Al) Bishoff; his uncles: Leonard (Boss) Ross, Edwin Jebb and William (Shorty) Lathlin; his in-laws: Joe and Janet Fiddler; his sisters-in-law: Jennifer, Marsha and Brooke (Lad) Dussion; brothers-in-law: Donovan (Margaret) Fiddler, Elston Fiddler and Clay Fiddler; and cousins, too numerous to mention. Randy was predeceased by his father: Charles Buck; his sister, Kristin (Chin); his brothers: Clyde McCallum and Reynold Greenleaf; his grandparents: Doreen and Leonard Ross, Peter and Margaret Buck; his great grandparents, Margaret and William Sayese; his aunties; Sonia Ross, Benita Stonechild, Maria Fiddler, Lucy Fosseneuve, Rachel Morin; his uncles: William Stonechild, James Carriere, Marcel Fiddler, Roy Fosseneuve and Horace Morin; his cousins: Brian “Atchoos” Morin, Edward Morin, Bradley Carriere, Anetha Johnson, Lorraine Chaboyer and Phylis Fosseneuve.
