Obituary of Sylvia Adelaide Lambert

Please share a memory of Sylvia to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Sylvia lived in Cumberland House for most of her life, and married Norman Lambert in March of 1964. She was married for 47 years to her Best Friend. Sylvia led a peaceful and spiritual life as a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was proud and honored to take on the role of “mom” to many throughout her life. You would often see Mom baking bannock, playing bingo, testing her luck on scratch and win tickets, talking on the phone to everyone and drinking her tea while having visitors over. Mom loved Sunday dinners at the farm, where she was able to visit and make memories with all of her children and grandchildren. Mom had a special bond with her in-laws from Moose Lake, Manitoba, as they would travel to Cumberland House to celebrate her birthday together. Although she is not with us in this life anymore, Mom will be remembered for her birthday calls, berry picking, and her ongoing support and love to everyone who she encountered. She will be remembered for her gentle love, compassion and open arms. Mom had a strong faith in God. She would attend Sunday service and recite her Rosary every evening. The family finds comfort in knowing that Mom is reunited with Dad, her parents, brothers and sisters. We will all love you forever and we know you will continue to watch over us as you always have.
