Obituary of Annie Gerbrand

Annie Gerbrand was born in June, 1932 to Henry and Agatha Wiens. She was the second child born of ten siblings. Annie spent her days going to school in the Blue Jay district and working on the family farm. In 1955, Annie met Peter N. Gerbrand. On Dec. 18th, 1955 they were married. They lived in Carrot River and then in Nipawin. They were blessed with 6 children: Bill, Cathy, Peter, Henry, John and Helen. Annie was always ready to serve coffee and feed anyone who entered their home and she made everyone feel welcomed. She enjoyed gardening, reading and spending time with her family. Annie lost her husband in 2001 and eventually moved to Esterhazy, SK to live near her daughter. She enjoyed many happy days there. The last few years were spent in the care home with failing health. Annie passed away peacefully with family by her side on August, 10, 2020. Annie leaves to mourn her daughters: Cathy Ens and Helen Gerbrand; her daughter-in-law: Rosemary Gerbrand; 9 grandchildren and many other family members that will miss her dearly. Annie is predeceased by her husband: Peter N. Gerbrand; her sons: Bill, Peter, Henry and John; her parents: Henry & Agatha Wiens; her brothers: Jake, John, and Bill. Rest peacefully Momma! We love you forever.
