Ballgee was born in December, 1969 in Nipawin, SK. He grew up in Cumberland House, SK and The Pas, MB. He received his education in Cumberland House, SK and Prince Albert, SK. He took his carpentry through Northlands College in Cumberland House to become a Journeyman Carpenter.
Ballgee was a very friendly and outgoing person. Ballgee was a true Montreal Canadians “Habs” fan. He travelled to Montreal, QC in 2014 with his best friend Norman Kadachuk, his brother in law Glenn Thomas Sr. and his cousin Lionel Deschambeault to attend 2 Habs games. Ballgee enjoyed going for his daily walks and visiting his family and friends. His pet dog Zorro would be by the window patiently waiting for him to return from his daily walks. He was employed with the Northern Village of Cumberland House as a brush cutter at Thunder Rapids Spillway. Ballgee worked for PACL at the McClean Lake and Cigar Mines. Ballgee also enjoyed playing recreational hockey with the Cumberland Cree. Ballgee met his Love in March of 1994. They were married on July 27th, 2012. Together they raised Sherisa.

Ballgee was predeceased by his mother: Madeline Goulet; sister: Lorraine Thomas; brother: Irvin Greenleaf; grandparents: William and Rosalie Greenleaf; aunties: Marie Deschambeault and Hazel Greenleaf; uncle: Horace Greenleaf; mother in law: Emily Carriere; father in law: Lyne Carriere.
