Obituary of Janet Flegg

Janet Elizabeth Flegg (Mum) was born October 4th, 1931 in Ridgedale, SK to Henry and Eva Hainstock. She was the first of six children and attended Waterfield School.
In 1941 her family moved to Jordan River, SK. In 1944 Janet caught polio and was in Tisdale for six weeks. During this time, she was quarantined and was in a half body cast for weeks. Her right arm was affected badly but the rest of her body recovered. Janet grew up very strong willed with her being able to out pick and out work many with two good arms.
Janet worked as a house keeper, craft shop keeper, home care and hotel housekeeper. She was part of the Arborfield Horticulture Club and always had baking and big meals for get together with family.
Janet had a love of horses, music, dancing, arts, and crafts, cooking, and gardening. However, her biggest love was her family; 6 children, Beth (1950), May-Ann (1951), Ruby (1953), Margie (1954), Robin (1966) and Pat (1971), 20 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren.
Janet is survived by Ruby (Terry), Margie (Bill), Robin (Alana), Pat (Barb) and her sisters Gertrude and Vera.
Janet was predeceased by Henry (1964), Eva (2001), Baby Shirley (1938), Frank (2010), Mable (2013), May-Ann (1956), and Beth (2014).
