Obituary of Lillian Margaret Grace Tait

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our Mom and Grandmother.  Lillian Margaret Grace Tait passed away peacefully in Nipawin Union Hospital surrounded by family on November 19^th, 2018.

Lillian was born to George and Laura Scarrett on March 16^th, 1929 in Prince Albert, Sask.

On May 23^rd, 1947 she married the love of her life Leonard Tait.  To this union four children were born, James, George, Coleen, and Lynn.  The pride and joy of her life were her grandchildren.  She loved each one dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.

Mom was a very hard worker.  She worked for 20 years at the Nipawin Union Hospital.  During that time, she worked in the kitchen and housekeeping.

Mom enjoyed knitting and crocheting.  She also enjoyed baking treats with dad to share with family and friends.  Their overnight buns, homemade soup, and donuts were delicious and were always a hit with everyone! In her later years, she moved to North Haven Care Home in Smeaton.  She enjoyed doing word searches and visiting with friends. Mom was a breast cancer survivor of 31 years. She was always so happy to have had another chance.

Lillian was predeceased by her husband Leonard; parents George and Laura; brothers Stanley, James, and Lloyd; sisters Violet, Myrtle, and Doris; sister-in-law’s Lillian, Delilah, Jean, and Darlene; brother-in-law’s John, Stanley, and Lyall, and nephews Bryan and Bobby.

Her memory is cherished by children Jim (Sonia), George (Shelley), Coleen (Clarence), Lynn (Glenn); grandchildren Doug (Angie), Tanya (Mike), Jason (Lilia), Crystal (Kevin), Steve (Stephanie), Mike (Keisha), Kurtis (Mandy), Joni, Shannon and her foster grandson Devin; great grandchildren Jae-lyn, Willow, Owen, Kaylee, Shiah, Julia, Nash, Lennon, Everlee, Jace, Anna, Lincoln, and Alissa Lynn.  Her brothers Wes and Eddie, sister-in-law Irene and brother-in-law Bob.  Also, her special god son Don, as well as numerous nephews, nieces and friends.

We love you so much Mom!  Our hearts are broke that we lost you but we are happy that you are now free of pain.
